Snellen described a new species Wallengrenia curassavica (Snellen, 1887) from Curaçao, this name became later a synonym of Wallengrenia otho (Smith, 1797), however the observed populations by Snellen on Curaçao do no longer exist according to Debrot, Miller, Miller & Leysner (1999).
